2023 Women’s Health Talk

Sunlight Pharmacy has collaborated with the Women's Association of The Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) to hold a Women’s Health Talk on the 5th of March 2023. 

The talk was aimed for women aged 50 and above, focusing on the benefits of eating the right foods and exercise to maintain general health and wellness. The talk was led by two of our qualified professionals, Pharmacist Yng Yeng and Physiotherapist Vun Hau, who shared their expertise on the role of diet and exercise in managing pain and maintaining good health.

Pharmacist Yng Yeng

Pharmacist Yng Yeng has shared the importance of how a balanced and nutritious diet can help provide the body with the essential nutrients it needs to function optimally, while supplements can help in any nutritional gaps that may exist. She has also shared the importance to note that supplements should not be seen as a replacement for a healthy diet, but rather as a complement to it. It is also important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen, particularly if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking medications.

Physiotherapist Vun Hau

Physiotherapist Vun Hau has shared that simple but regular exercises are beneficial to help build muscles and protect joints. She has also demonstrated a few simple exercises that can be done at home easily to help alleviate discomfort and improve mobility. She has also noted the importance of consulting with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, particularly if you have underlying health conditions or joint problems. They can provide guidance on which exercises are best for your specific needs and offer advice on how to exercise safely and effectively.
